Starting a Business or Feeling Stuck? Here's what I've Learned

Updated: Jun 27

Starting a business is often portrayed as an exciting leap into something new. While that can be true, it can also feel uncertain, overwhelming and ,at times, isolating.

For many women , the challenge isn't the lack of ambition or ideas. It's knowing where to begin, deciding which advice to follow, or finding the confidence to take the next step.

Others have already started their business but feel as though they've reached a point where they are no longer moving forward. The excitement fades, progress slows and it's easy to question whether you are on the right path.

The same can be said for women who are not looking to start a business at all but want more from their careers. Whether you're considering self-employment a career change, or looking to progress, where you already are, the common thread is often the same: feeling stuck.

There isn't a single formula for success and there certainly isn't a perfect time to begin. What does make a difference is having clarity. Understanding what you're working towards, recognising your strengths and making decisions based on your own goals rather than someone else's definition of success.

Small consistent steps will always take you further than waiting for everything to feel perfect.

That's why I believe in focusing on practical guidance over unnecessary complexity. Whether you're validating a business idea, refining your niche, planning your next career move or simply trying to work out what comes next, having the right foundations makes every decision easier.

Success doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't have to look the same for everyone. The important thing is to keep moving, one decision at a time.
